My first blog

Hello all! Welcome to the first posting for Brannon's Blogs.
This is my first attempt to post a blog. So, if you are reading this, I will claim some sort of degree of success!
So, perhaps you are wondering why I would start a blog? Good question! Well, many people have asked me to keep them posted on Sam's progress and status as she begins her fight against breast cancer. I thought the best way to do that might be to create a blog, so I can submit one posting and people can check in at their leisure. And I think it might also serve as some sort of therapy for me to spill my guts in such a format. Words have always come easier for me through the pen (or keyboard as is the case here) than the spoken word. So, being that she starts her treatments on Tuesday, I thought there is no time like the present to figure this thing out and start "blogging!" (Is that even a word)? So please, check in when you are looking for some info or if you are just wondering how we are doing. Please comment and share your thoughts and encouragement at anytime. We would love to hear from you and I know Sam will need the positive vibes coming her way! I will share everyone's thoughts and comments with Sam as we progress through these treatments in the coming months.
OK - first blog is complete. I think that was relatively painless - at least for me!

  1. Hi Tad:

I'm sure I write for many when I express my gratitude for the many ways in which your entire family has opened itself to us, for years prior to this struggle. All of us have benefitted from your family's gifts, so we will be happy to be able to learn anything we can about Sam's progress.

    Thanks for doing this.

  2. Sam and Tad,
Many wishes and prayers for much health and healing as we begin 2010.
Since your adoption of the Pennridge High School Musical Theatre, we have received your talent, support, and direction that has exceeded our expectatations. Our children have benefitted not only with your guidence in acting and singing, but most importantly wtth your promoting of values and working as a "team". You have sacrificed family time for our kids and now it's our turn to support you and your family in any way you need. My prayers are with you Sam for the treatment to pass quickly and for a complete recovery.
    Love,
Mary Olindo and the Olindo Family

What a great idea!!!! Maybe I won't have to send out as many update emails as wwell -- I will just send people to your blog!!

And I can tell already that I have been right all along -- if the banking business ever fails you, it is obvious you can "fall back" on writing!

We are praying and thinking of you guys 24/7, you know that. Every waking minute tomorrow will be surrounded in prayer and love from this end.

We love you all...Mom, Dad and the rest of the Florida gang

  6. Hi Sam and Tad!
Whatever I write will only repeat what people above me have written. This is a great idea to hear about Sam's progress... especially since I am away at school. I will pray for you every night Sam.

  14. Hurray for your new blog! I'm officially following you now. Not in a creepy way, just in a supportive way. =)

Btw, in the midst of the treatments, blog when it would be a blessing but ignore us when it's a burden. We won't be offended!

You guys are awesome! In our thoughts and prayers!
